The method to enjoy any of these Legends of DotA versions on your PC is exactly the same:
- Choose a version from the list above and head over to its dedicated download guide.
- Download the map file, which will have the
.w3xextension. - Copy the file and paste it into your Warcraft III maps directory. By default, the path is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III\Maps - Compatibility & Engine Note: Please note that LoD maps are not compatible with AI bots. Furthermore, they run exclusively on **Warcraft III Patch 1.26**. Older versions (such as 1.24) or subsequent patches (such as 1.27, 1.28, and higher) are completely unsupported, making patch 1.26 mandatory to preserve game stability and core custom mechanics.
