DotA 1 AI Maps: Download the Latest Bot Versions
The primary challenge when diving into classic Defense of the Ancients (DotA) is that it inherently requires forming two full teams of 5v5 players via a Local Area Network (LAN) in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Outside of local matches, players are usually forced to rely on external platforms like Atinad or RGC to find active lobbies.
However, an issue arises when you don't have a reliable internet connection, or when you simply want to practice mechanical skills with a specific hero in a stress-free environment. To solve this, the community developed specialized AI (Artificial Intelligence) versions of the map. These custom releases allow you to populate any lobby with computer-controlled bots instead of real players, keeping the offline scene alive and kicking.
Below, you will find the latest, most stable, and highly optimized AI versions developed by the community for solo play.

Essential Game Mode Configuration
Because AI custom maps naturally grant computer bots additional gold and experience to artificially make them more challenging, it is highly recommended to customize your match via the in-game chat interface using these standard commands right as the timer starts:
-ap(All Pick): Removes tavern selection limits, allowing you and the computer forces to pick any hero on the map.-ne(Normal Experience) /-ng(Normal Gold): Disables the native AI resource handicaps, forcing the bots to earn gold and experience at the exact same mathematical rate as human players.-pe/-pa: Gives you full strategic drafting control, allowing you to manually pick the exact hero composition for the enemy bots (-pe) or your allied bots (-pa).
