Compatibility & Installation

Important Patch Requirements

  • Supported Patch: This map is designed exclusively for Warcraft III Patch 1.26a.
  • Incompatible Versions: Patches 1.24, 1.27, or higher (including Reforged) are not compatible and may cause the game to crash.
  • No AI Support: Please note that LoD maps do not support Artificial Intelligence (bots). These maps are intended for multiplayer use only.

Installation Path

Download the map and move it to your Warcraft III maps directory. The default path is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III\Maps

How to Play on LAN

To host this map on a Local Area Network, you must bypass the standard map size limit:

  1. Run Warcraft III as an Administrator.
  2. Go to Single Player » Custom Game and load the LoD 6.89t4 map.
  3. Once the game starts, look for the message: "Map size limit has been disabled, LAN games are now available."
  4. You can now quit the single-player match and host properly in the Local Area Network menu.
