Mangix, the Pandaren Brewmaster, is a powerful front-line brawler, teamfight initiator, and elusive bruiser in DotA 1. Bolstered by an excellent Strength attribute combined with a notably high Agility baseline for a tank, he thrives on creating chaos in the middle of combat. His unique toolkit allows him to cripple enemy physical attackers, amplify magical burst, and manipulate his own physical evasion, culminating in an ultimate ability that turns him into three separate elemental forces to command the battlefield.

2. Cinder Brew
Drenches an area in alcohol, causing enemy units to move slower and ignite once they take any spell damage. When ignited, unit will receive some magical damage periodically until the debuff is removed. Duration is increased when ignited. Ignition provides a set amount of damage ticks with equal delay inbetween.
- Damage Type: Magical damage
- Targeting/Area: Ground-targeted area threshold
- Base Duration: 5 seconds
- Ignition Condition: Triggered immediately upon receiving any form of spell damage.
- Ignited Property Buffs: Extends baseline debuff duration by 3 seconds and guarantees exactly 8 periodic damage ticks with equal delay.

3. Drunken Brawler
Brewmaster passively gains a chance to evade physical attacks and deal critical damage when attacking. When activated, he goes into a drunken brawler state, granting increased chance of evasion and critical strike. Brewmaster moves with a varying amount of movement speed, alternating between slower and faster speed, starting with increased speed first.
- Passive Component: Provides a flat chance to dodge physical hits and a multiplier for physical critical damage.
- Active State Duration: 5 seconds
- Active Stat Multiplier: Multiplies the baseline passive evasion chance and passive critical strike chance by 3x.
- Movement Variance Mechanics: Alternates dynamically between a 20% movement speed penalty and a 40% movement speed bonus, always initiating the cycle with the bonus speed phase.

Splits the Pandaren Brewmaster into elements, forming 3 specialized warriors. If any of them survive until the end of their summoned timer, the Brewmaster is reborn.
- Summon Type: 3 specialized elemental Brewlings.
- Survival Win Condition: Reborn location is determined by the surviving elements; if even one panda survives the countdown, Mangix reconstitutes safely.
- Scepter Upgrade: Grants a second maximum charge to the ultimate ability and enables the Brewlings to terminate the channeling early to bring back Mangix prematurely.

4. Item Build Guide
| Phase |
Recommended Items |
Strategic Purpose |
| Early Game |
Phase Boots, Magic Wand, Bracer |
Phase Boots provide reliable attack damage and a speed burst to close gaps for Thunder Clap, while Bracer secures early-game tankiness. |
| Core Items |
Blink Dagger, Black King Bar, Radiance |
Blink Dagger provides an instantaneous initiation platform. Black King Bar prevents silences from blocking Primal Split, and Radiance automatically ignites Cinder Brew across multiple targets via its passive burn aura. |
| Late Game |
Aghanim's Scepter, Assault Cuirass, Heart of Tarrasque |
Aghanim's Scepter adds an entire extra charge to Primal Split and lets you abort the skill early if needed. Assault Cuirass enhances armor and attack speed to synergize with Drunken Brawler's critical scaling. |
5. Quick Gameplay Tips
- The Cinder Burn Combo: Always deploy Cinder Brew right before executing Thunder Clap. The spell damage profile from Thunder Clap instantly satisfies the ignition parameter of the alcohol debuff, inflicting 8 rapid, scaling ticks of magical damage while inflicting massive attack and movement slows simultaneously.
- Active Brawler Scaling: Coordinate the activation of Drunken Brawler when your physical attack targets are locked down. At level 4, activating this skill spikes your passive evasion to 75% and critical rate to high consistency for 5 seconds, turning Mangix into a lethal physical powerhouse while making him virtually immune to opposing physical carries.
- Ultimate Emergency Escape: Primal Split behaves as a perfect self-dispel and invulnerability frame. If you are caught in a bad position or targeted by lethal burst damage, cycling into your elemental pandas clears all incoming focus and guarantees your escape, provided your team can keep at least one element alive until the timer runs out.
