Furion, the Prophet: Ultimate Skills and Item Build Guide — DotA 1

Furion, the Prophet, is one of the most versatile and feared global-presence heroes in DotA 1. As a highly mobile Intelligence-based pusher and ganker, Furion exerts pressure across the entire map, effortlessly joining fights or destroying towers the moment an opportunity arises. With exceptional attribute growth in both Agility and Intelligence, he transitions smoothly from a tactical early-game utility caster into a formidable late-game right-click carry. His defining strength is the ability to influence multiple lanes simultaneously, turning every moment of downtime into an advantage through map-wide teleportation.

4. Item Build Guide

Phase Recommended Items Strategic Purpose
Early Game Null Talisman, Power Treads, Magic Wand Null Talisman aids early damage and mana. Power Treads offer flexibility and attack speed, while Magic Wand ensures survivability during early global rotations.
Core Items Orchid Malevolence, Maelstrom, Shadow Blade Orchid provides silence for ganking key targets. Maelstrom allows for rapid wave clearing, and Shadow Blade offers an escape route if the enemy attempts to collapse on you.
Late Game Daedalus, Aghanim's Scepter, Desolator Daedalus turns your massive Agility growth into massive physical crits. Aghanim's Scepter provides massive map-wide disable, and Desolator maximizes structure-seiging speed.

5. Quick Gameplay Tips

  • The Global Split-Push: Use your Teleportation cooldown to constantly push lanes on opposite sides of the map from where your team is grouping. By forcing enemies to rotate to stop you, you create numerical advantages for your team elsewhere. Always teleport into trees (using Sprout if needed) to ensure you are hidden from vision when you arrive.
  • Wrath of Nature Farming: Do not be afraid to use Wrath of Nature to secure gold. If you see multiple lanes pushing into your towers while your team is busy, cast the ultimate to wipe the waves and collect the bonus damage stacks. It serves as an excellent way to maintain a gold lead while keeping your lanes pushed out.
  • Treant Tanking: When pushing a tower without a creep wave, use Force of Nature to summon Treants to tank the tower shots for you. If you have Aghanim's Scepter, the Entangle effect from your ultimate can also lock defenders in place, allowing your Treants to shred both the tower and the enemy heroes simultaneously.
